    – Never discontinue medication without consulting your doctor.

    Collect in a bottle provided by the laboratory. Fill the entire vial with the contents.

    Technical Information: The new GI Effects Profile uses stool samples, based on “culture and molecular” techniques. With this technology, we can identify an unlimited number of parasites with excellent accuracy, as it is what we call the “gold standard” for a given evaluation (parasites), while the PCR technique provides a broad evaluation of anaerobic bacteria in the intestinal microflora. It helps differentiate and discriminate active from inactive for Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and infections. It also analyzes the marker CALPROTECTIN, BD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and Eosinophil protein (EPX).

    Technical information: Prostate cancer is a malignant alteration, which presents accelerated growth and high infiltration power, leading to the occurrence of metastases, in case of late diagnosis, or progression of localized disease. The 4Kscore is a blood test that incorporates four prostate protein biomarkers, along with clinical patient information, to determine the risk of high-grade and aggressive prostate cancer (Gleason ≥7). Additionally, the 4Kscore test allows to assess the risk of high-grade prostate cancer and whether or not digital rectal examination data is available. Therefore, patients with suspected aggressive prostate cancer can safely have their risk better defined by the 4Kscore test, even if the digital rectal examination has not been performed recently.

    NashTest evaluates the presence or absence of Non-Alcoholic Hepatic Steatosis and, when combined with the performance of FibroTest, is able to demonstrate the value of Nash screening in patients with metabolic risk factors.

    FibroTest is a test that is highly recommended by health authorities around the world. The test is intended to measure levels of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis, and is the only study that can classify the early stages of fibrosis.

    With ActiTest, together with FibroTest, it is possible to identify asymptomatic carriers of Hepatitis B and to detect more effective treatments, and it is essential to evaluate the progression of this disease.

    SteatoTest measures the level of steatosis in the body, which is the increased accumulation of fat in the liver. The test is primarily targeted at patients who are at high metabolic risk, excessive alcohol consumers, or chronic carriers of hepatitis B or C. With this quantitative steatosis test, it is possible to monitor patients in order to follow the progression or regression of the case, offering the professional who attends them a tool to develop treatments that will enable the normalization of this condition.

    Collection Instr. …………:  The kit contains 2 to 4 conical tubes and a questionnaire, which must be answered correctly.

     Collection Procedure

    1. For the collection, it is important that your hands are clean, and that you have not eaten or brushed your teeth for at least one hour;
    2. Do not ingest alcohol in the 24 hours prior to the collection, as well as on the day of the collection;
    3. for the collection, do not take any medication or hormones, either orally or by application on the skin. After the collection, all medication and hormones can be used;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the exact time of the use of the hormones and medication listed on the form;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the times when you sleep and wake up. If there is no routine, write down the times when you slept on the day before the collection and the time when you woke up on the collection day;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the times of your baths. If there is no routine, write down the bath times on the collection day;

    The collection times, designated by the doctor, must be respected, so that the results are not compromised.

    Collection procedures

    1-Rinse your mouth with water 15 minutes before performing the collection;

    2-Open the collection kit and get the conical tubes;

    3-Accumulate a good amount of saliva in your mouth. The saliva should come only from the mouth. Do not force any secretion out of the throat;

    4-Open the tube and discard the saliva inside it, until it reaches the 5 mL mark;

    5-Check if the volume of saliva reached the 5mL mark. If not, repeat the procedure;

    6-Cap the tube tightly and note the date and time of collection in the white quadrant located on the tube itself. Make sure you write down the date and time of the collection correctly, as this data is essential for the good execution of the test;

    7- Place the tube in the freezer until the moment it is removed by the carrier. If the collector is performing the procedure with you, just hand the tube to her;

    8-After frozen, the tube must not lose temperature, therefore, do not remove it from the freezer. If you need to transport it, keep it in a thermal bag with ice;

    9-The bearer should remove, at the established time, the conical tube and the form, duly filled.

    Technical information: Why do tests on saliva?

    About 95% of hormones circulate in the body bound to carrier proteins and 1% to 5% circulate in free form and represent the “biologically active fraction”; It is the free form of these hormones responsible for maintaining and balancing the endocrine functions. Thus, salivary analysis is the best way to evaluate hormone levels in patients who need hormone treatment.

    Clinical indications for the test: Insomnia; Sleepiness; Decrease and/or loss of muscle mass; Decrease and/or loss of bone mass; Urinary incontinence; Involuntary loss of urine; Fatigue; Excessive fatigue; Lack of energy; Muscular and joint pain; Decreased immunity; Constant colds; Cognitive deficit; Problems of recent and spatial memory; Anxiety; Depression; Stress; Low libido; Sexual difficulties; Allergies; Food intolerances.

    2. Do not ingest alcohol in the 24 hours prior to the collection, as well as on the day of the collection;
    3. for the collection, do not take any medication or hormones, either orally or by application on the skin. After the collection, all medication and hormones can be used;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the exact time of the use of the hormones and medication listed on the form;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the times when you sleep and wake up. If there is no routine, write down the times when you slept on the day before the collection and the time when you woke up on the collection day;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the times of your baths. If there is no routine, write down the bath times on the collection day;

    The collection times, designated by the doctor, must be respected, so that the results are not compromised.

    Collection procedures

    1-Rinse your mouth with water 15 minutes before performing the collection;

    2-Open the collection kit and get the conical tubes;

    3-Accumulate a good amount of saliva in your mouth. The saliva should come only from the mouth. Do not force any secretion out of the throat;

    4-Open the tube and discard the saliva inside it, until it reaches the 5 mL mark;

    5-Check if the volume of saliva reached the 5mL mark. If not, repeat the procedure;

    6-Cap the tube tightly and note the date and time of collection in the white quadrant located on the tube itself. Make sure you write down the date and time of the collection correctly, as this data is essential for the good execution of the test;

    7- Place the tube in the freezer until the moment it is removed by the carrier. If the collector is performing the procedure with you, just hand the tube to her;

    8-After frozen, the tube must not lose temperature, therefore, do not remove it from the freezer. If you need to transport it, keep it in a thermal bag with ice;

    Collection Instr. …………: The kit contains 1 conical tube (for a single collection time) and a questionnaire, which must be answered correctly.

     Collection Procedure

    1. For the collection, it is important that your hands are clean, and that you have not eaten or brushed your teeth for at least one hour;
    2. Do not ingest alcohol in the 24 hours prior to the collection, as well as on the day of the collection;
    3. for the collection, do not take any medication or hormones, either orally or by application on the skin. After the collection, all medication and hormones can be used;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the exact time of the use of the hormones and medication listed on the form;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the times when you sleep and wake up. If there is no routine, write down the times when you slept on the day before the collection and the time when you woke up on the collection day;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the times of your baths. If there is no routine, write down the bath times on the collection day;

    The collection times, designated by the doctor, must be respected, so that the results are not compromised.

    Collection procedures

    1-Rinse your mouth with water 15 minutes before performing the collection;

    2-Open the collection kit and get the conical tubes;

    3-Accumulate a good amount of saliva in your mouth. The saliva should come only from the mouth. Do not force any secretion out of the throat;

    4-Open the tube and discard the saliva inside it, until it reaches the 5 mL mark;

    5-Check if the volume of saliva reached the 5mL mark. If not, repeat the procedure;

    6-Cap the tube tightly and note the date and time of collection in the white quadrant located on the tube itself. Make sure to correctly write down the date and time of the collection, as this data is essential for the good execution of the test;

    7- Place the tube in the freezer until the moment it is removed by the carrier. If the collector is performing the procedure with you, just hand the tube to her;

    8-After frozen, the tube must not lose temperature, therefore, do not remove it from the freezer. If you need to transport it, keep it in a thermal bag with ice;

    9-The bearer must remove, at the established time, the conical tube and the form, duly filled out.

     Technical Information: Why test saliva?

    About 95% of the hormones circulate in the body bound to carrier proteins and 1% to 5% circulate in the free form and represent the “biologically active fraction”; it is the free form of these hormones that is responsible for maintaining and balancing the endocrine functions.

Thus, salivary analysis is the best way to evaluate hormone levels in patients who need hormone treatment.

    Clinical indications for the test: Insomnia; Sleepiness; Decrease and/or loss of muscle mass; Decrease and/or loss of bone mass; Urinary incontinence; Involuntary loss of urine; Fatigue; Excessive fatigue; Lack of energy; Muscle and joint pain; Decreased immunity; Constant colds; Cognitive deficit; Problems of recent and spatial memory; Anxiety; Depression; Stress; Low libido; Sexual difficulties; Allergies; Food intolerances.

  • SALIVARY PROGESTERONE

    Collection Instr. …………: The kit contains 2 to 4 conical tubes and a questionnaire, which must be answered correctly.

     Collection Procedure

    1. For the collection, it is important that your hands are clean, and that you have not eaten or brushed your teeth for at least one hour;
    2. Do not ingest alcohol in the 24 hours prior to the collection, as well as on the day of the collection;
    3. for the collection, do not take any medication or hormones, either orally or by application on the skin. After the collection, all medication and hormones can be used;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the exact time of the use of the hormones and medication listed on the form;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the times when you sleep and wake up. If there is no routine, write down the times when you slept on the day before the collection and the time when you woke up on the collection day;

    Write down, in the corresponding space, the times of your baths. If there is no routine, write down the bath times on the collection day;

    The collection times, designated by the doctor, must be respected, so that the results are not compromised.

    Collection procedures

    1-Rinse your mouth with water 15 minutes before performing the collection;

    2-Open the collection kit and get the conical tubes;

    3-Accumulate a good amount of saliva in your mouth. The saliva should come only from the mouth. Do not force any secretion out of the throat;

    4-Open the tube and discard the saliva inside it, until it reaches the 5 mL mark;

    5-Check if the volume of saliva reached the 5mL mark. If not, repeat the procedure;

    6-Cap the tube tightly and note the date and time of collection in the white quadrant located on the tube itself. Make sure you write down the date and time of the collection correctly, as this data is essential for the good execution of the test;

    7- Place the tube in the freezer until the moment it is removed by the carrier. If the collector is performing the procedure with you, just hand the tube to her;

    8-After frozen, the tube must not lose temperature, therefore, do not remove it from the freezer. If you need to transport it, keep it in a thermal bag with ice;

    9-The bearer should remove, at the established time, the conical tube and the form, duly filled.

Supplementation with antioxidants for at least 90 days usually reduces SOD levels in coronary heart disease patients. Thus, this test is a marker of the effectiveness of antioxidant treatment.

    1. a) Interleukin 1-beta (IL-1 beta) is a paracrine cytokine. High levels of this cytokine are seen in septic shock. The cytokine is involved in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis, and in patients with this condition, its concentration in synovial fluid is significantly higher, which is not the case in serum.
    2. b) Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a cytokine (multifunctional protein) that can be released by various cells in the body in response to a variety of stimuli. More specifically, IL-6 secreted by adipocytes, endothelial cells, and immune system cells, is an important factor in maintaining the low-grade inflammation state characteristic of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, as well as by acute immune activation triggered by infection and sepsis. Serum IL-6 levels may reflect the presence of underlying systemic inflammatory, metabolic and physiological stimuli.

    1. c) The TNFα gene encodes a pro-inflammatory cytokine, which acts as a factor that promotes atherogenesis and vascular damage. In addition, TNF is involved in many processes, such as apoptosis, cell proliferation and differentiation. The polymorphism analyzed can condition its activity levels, interfering unfavorably in pro-inflammatory mechanisms.

    1. d) Interleukin-10 (IL-10 or IL10), also known as cytokine synthesis inhibition factor (CSIF), is an anti-inflammatory cytokine that inhibits the synthesis of pro-inflammatory cytokines by T lymphocytes and macrophages. Its presence has been demonstrated in human atherosclerotic plaques, since it has been observed in experimental studies that low levels of IL-10 favor the development of morphologically larger and more unstable atherosclerotic lesions.

    1. e) Malonic dialdehyde (MDA) is an end product of lipid lipoperoxidation. It contributes to the inflammatory reaction by activation of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNFBeta and IL-8.

    1. f) Oxidized LDL is a specific marker widely used to identify Oxidative Stress. Atherosclerosis is widely recognized as a chronic inflammatory disease that involves an innate and adaptive immune response, and its cellular and humoral components have been implicated in the atherogenesis process. Clinical Interpretation: Anti-OxLDL antibodies are present in patients with atherosclerosis, endometriosis, diabetes, and other stressful situations.  Anti-OxLDL is closely linked with atheroma plaque size.

    1. g) Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is an antioxidant enzyme, specialized in the removal of the superoxide anion radical (O2-). Antioxidant enzymes are the cells’ first line of defense against reactive oxygen species. SOD needs to work in conjunction with enzymes that destroy H2O2 (the end product of O2- metabolization). Supplementation with antioxidants for at least 90 days usually reduces SOD levels in coronary heart disease patients. Thus, this test is a marker of the effectiveness of antioxidant treatment.
