GIARDIA FECAL ANTIGEN (STOOL)

Collection Instr. …………: Request the flask from the laboratory.

Collect approximately 1 teaspoon of sample without contact with water. We do not recommend the use of a laxative to obtain the sample.

Technical Information: Suggestion: Look in the tests menu: Immunological and/or PCR search for fecal antigens, such as Giardia, Entamoeba, Rotavirus and multidrug-resistant Clostridium difficile.

Differential diagnosis of the causative agent enables targeted treatments and interruption of patient discomfort in the shortest possible time. Immunological and PCR analysis ensures greater accuracy than the commonly used parasitological technique, and provides faster diagnosis.
