Technical Information: With a simple urine sample, the Estronex profile assesses the following ratios of critical estrogen metabolites: 2:16 ratio > 2-OHE1 to 16αOHE / 2:2 ratio > 2-OHE1 to 2-MeOE (2- Methoxyoestradiol). Studies have shown that assessment of the ratio of these metabolites provides important indication of risk for the future development of estrogen-dependent cancers. Studies also show that this risk is modifiable.
