EAS – ABNORMAL ELEMENTS OF SEDIMENT (URINE) (2 SAMPLES)
Collection Instr. …………: Use a sterile flask.
– Take the vial from the laboratory or buy it at the pharmacy. Keep the urine refrigerated until arrival in the laboratory.
Use 2 bottles, collecting the jets requested by the doctor.
Assepsy with neutral soap and water before starting. Dry with a clean towel. Starting the collection:
-> First stream of urine – This is the initial 3 seconds of urination. (fill about 1/4 of the bottle)
-> middle stream of urine – starts immediately after the first stream. (fill in approximately half of the bottle).
-> final spurt of urine – This final spurt needs to be captured when you realize that the urine will end. Nothing else can be thrown away in the vase at this instant. (fill about 1/4 of the bottle)
– Preferably in the morning, when you wake up, clean the area with neutral soap.
– The day before avoid excessive fluid intake so as not to dilute the urine.
